The weekend of December 20–22 is also expected to see peak activity, with approximately 880,000 passengers transiting through DXB during this period. Essa Al Shamsi, Senior Vice President of Terminal Operations at Dubai Airports, highlighted the meticulous preparations in place to ensure a seamless experience for passengers during this peak period. “Delivering the exceptional experience that DXB is known for during peak travel periods is always a challenge, but one we are well-prepared to meet with collaboration across the oneDXB family,” he stated. Al Shamsi added that this year’s efforts are further enhanced by festive activities aimed at creating memorable moments for travelers.

As part of the seasonal celebrations, the Family Zone in Terminal 3 will be transformed into a winter wonderland. The festive setup will feature a range of attractions, including a unique blend of carol singing and beatboxing performances, a gift-wrapping station, a Nutcracker-themed marching band, and other engaging activities. These initiatives aim to surprise and delight passengers, enhancing their travel experience during the holidays.

The anticipated surge in traffic underscores Dubai’s enduring appeal as a global destination. Visitors are drawn to the city’s world-class shopping, dining, and entertainment options, alongside its favorable winter climate.
