SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence direct flights between Sharjah and Gdansk on Dec. 14, 2026. The new route will connect Sharjah International Airport with Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, operating five times weekly. Flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This addition provides a direct link from the UAE to northern Poland, broadening Air Arabia’s scheduled network within the country. Tickets for the new service are already available via the airline’s sales platforms.

Air Arabia sets December start for Sharjah Gdansk route
Air Arabia expands UAE-Poland links with five weekly Sharjah-Gdansk flights.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m., while the return, G9 0629, departs Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and lands back in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following morning. The flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are scheduled to leave Sharjah at 8:15 a.m., with return flights leaving Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m. All times listed are local.

Once operational, the Gdansk route will mark Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah, joining Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport already served by the airline. Additionally, Air Arabia will introduce four weekly flights to Katowice starting Dec. 17, 2026, operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. These routes, along with Gdansk and Katowice, will extend the airline’s direct network within Poland beyond its current two-city coverage.

Gdansk Expands Air Arabia’s Polish Network

The Gdansk service is part of Air Arabia’s broader European route network from Sharjah, which includes destinations such as Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. The airline has also announced plans to add Frankfurt and Katowice to this network. Gdansk offers travelers from Poland’s Baltic coast a direct scheduled connection to the UAE via Sharjah, enhancing regional accessibility.

Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali commented that the airline was expanding its Polish network with the addition of Gdansk. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the importance of the direct Sharjah link for the Pomeranian region. The airport serves as a transfer hub for destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Gdansk Airport also caters to the broader Tri-City area, which includes Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other nearby communities in northern Poland.

Five Flights Per Week Connect Sharjah and Gdansk

Air Arabia operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its network. The airline has opened reservations for the Gdansk route through its website, call center, and travel agencies. Flights scheduled for Mondays and Saturdays are designated as G9 0628 and G9 0629, respectively. The flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are listed as G9 0626 departing from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. These five weekly rotations will provide nonstop flights in both directions between the two airports.

The launch of the Gdansk service on Dec. 14 will occur just three days before Air Arabia begins flights to Katowice. With the existing services to Krakow and Warsaw, the addition of Gdansk will bring the airline’s Polish routes to four cities. From the published timetable, passengers in Gdansk will have five weekly nonstop options in each direction. As of Aug. 26, 2026, Air Arabia maintains the Dec. 14 launch date and the planned five-flight weekly schedule for the Sharjah-Gdansk route.
