Officials noted that the milestone reflects steady growth in relations since their establishment in 1990 and highlights continued engagement across economic, political and cultural fields. Talks focused on opportunities to boost trade and investment, with an emphasis on renewable energy and advanced technologies. Both sides reviewed avenues for cooperation that support sustainable development and promote greater prosperity for their citizens.

Economic relations between the two countries have strengthened in recent years, supported by diversified trade and investment flows. Sheikh Mohamed and Orbán also exchanged views on regional and international developments. They affirmed support for efforts that promote peace, stability and cooperation at both the regional and global levels. The discussions included the importance of joint action in addressing shared challenges and contributing to international security and development.

In recent years, the UAE and Hungary have signed agreements covering renewable energy, infrastructure, agriculture, youth policy, defense, data centers and artificial intelligence. These frameworks are designed to deepen strategic ties and expand cooperation in priority sectors. Official visits and ministerial meetings have provided additional channels to ensure progress on implementing these agreements.

The 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties underlines the long-standing nature of the relationship and provides a platform for further expansion and diversification. Orbán’s visit and his meeting with Sheikh Mohamed added momentum to a partnership that has broadened steadily over the past three and a half decades, extending into areas of economic, technological, cultural, political and security cooperation supported by formal agreements. – By Content Syndication Services.
