CASABLANCA, Morocco, Oct. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On September 24, GAC, with Moroccan partner M-AUTOMOTIV, held the “The Future Lands in Morocco” launch event in Casablanca. Three new energy models—the GN8 PHEV, HYPETEC HT, and HYPETEC SSR—were officially launched, while the GOVY AirCab made its African debut. Over 600 guests witnessed this milestone, marking further expansion of GAC’s product lineup in Morocco.

This launch was more than a showcase of three new products. With its lineup expanding, GAC is building a portfolio in Morocco covering more segments, powertrains, and mobility needs. In July, GAC introduced three SUVs—the S7 PHEV, EMKOO HEV, and EMZOOM. With the new additions, GAC’s local lineup now extends to new energy MPVs, premium intelligent pure electric SUVs, and pure electric supercars.

The GN8 PHEV enriches GAC’s new energy MPV segment with over 1,000 km combined range, meeting family and business needs. The HYPETEC HT showcases premium strength through gullwing doors, pure electric range, and intelligent technology. The HYPETEC SSR, with 1,225 hp and 0-100 km/h in 1.9 seconds, reinforces the brand’s performance image. From ICE, HEV, and PHEV to BEV, GAC is responding to diverse Moroccan mobility needs with a more complete lineup.

The event used “The GAC Terminal” concept, transforming the venue into a forward-looking mobility terminal integrating products, technology, and immersive experiences. The GOVY AirCab, GAC’s low-altitude mobility achievement, targets short-range urban low-altitude travel, aerial sightseeing, and future urban air mobility. Guests entered as “passengers,” experiencing the future mobility vision through vehicle displays, the AirCab showcase, a drone light show, and laser and music performances.

Morocco, at the crossroads of Africa and Europe, is a key strategic node for GAC’s North Africa layout. Wang Feng, Vice President of GAC International, and Souhail Houmaini, General Manager of M-AUTOMOTIV, shared GAC’s vision and partnership plans. As exclusive importer and distributor, M-AUTOMOTIV will expand the sales and service network from Casablanca and Tangier to Rabat, Agadir, and El Jadida.
