SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to introduce nonstop flights linking Sharjah International Airport with Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. Operating four times weekly, this route broadens the airline’s network between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia offers flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, which serves Jordan’s capital. The new service provides travelers with a second option for flying into Amman and expands scheduled links to Jordan via the Sharjah network.

Air Arabia adds new Sharjah to Amman City Airport route
Air Arabia expands UAE-Jordan air links with a new Sharjah-Amman service.

The flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Tickets for the route are available through Air Arabia’s website, call center, and travel agencies, with bookings now open.

This addition strengthens the existing Jordan operations of Air Arabia Group, which currently connects Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. The group also operates flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new service from Sharjah will extend the group’s reach to Jordan via another UAE departure point while maintaining its current routes.

Air Arabia broadens access to two Amman airports

Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, highlighted that the new route provides travelers with a second airport option in Jordan’s capital. He emphasized that this will offer increased convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the upcoming Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month before its scheduled launch in November. This service will operate alongside existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport.

Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own service to Amman City Airport, beginning on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. The Abu Dhabi operation also connects to Queen Alia International Airport, giving travelers two options for flying into Amman from the UAE capital. In April, Air Arabia stated that the two Abu Dhabi routes together offered 10 weekly flights to Amman upon the second airport’s launch.

Sharjah route introduces four additional Jordan flights each week

Utilizing flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, the new service from Sharjah follows a fixed schedule of four flights per week. Air Arabia’s fleet for this route includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, part of its broader network. The airline also features its SkyTime streaming service, SkyCafe onboard menu, and Air Rewards loyalty program. Customers can reserve tickets for flights to Amman City Airport in advance of the November 15 launch via the airline’s established sales channels.

This expansion enhances Air Arabia Group’s regional connectivity to Jordan through multiple airports, including Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport via Air Arabia. The Abu Dhabi branch operates flights to both airports as well, while Alexandria has a direct link to Amman City Airport. The upcoming November launch will add four scheduled weekly flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital to the group’s regional flight network.
